Nine expeditions.
One missing road.
A road disappears, but the lantern at its end keeps burning. The factions of the Living Atlas follow that light for reasons of their own.
HearthboundThe Lantern That Stayed
When the road to the lantern infirmary vanished, the Hearthbound kept its lamps burning. Brindle carries the promise of a new refuge; Korr remembers every traveler sheltered beneath his scales. They will rebuild the crossings, but first they must decide which old walls still protect people and which have become a prison.
Wickmender finds a lamp shining beneath the buried threshold. Brindle follows its warmth into a road that no map remembers, while Korr holds the entrance open. Beyond it lies an unfamiliar iron gate—and a sentinel still keeping watch.

Brindle
Hearthkeeper → Sanctuary Sovereign
Trailblazer → Dawnbound Pathfinder

Korr
Shellwarden → Verdant Bulwark
Bridgewright → Rootspan Colossus
At the table: Healing, protection and durable defenders create room for your explorers.
Choose your Companion →SkyrunnersThe Uncharted Wind
The Skyrunners saw the missing road disappear from the constellations before it vanished from the earth. Vey follows the changing winds; Nima charts the spaces between familiar stars. Their maps disagree for the first time, and the only way to learn which is right is to fly beyond both.
A courier returns with a message addressed to tomorrow. Vey wants to deliver it immediately. Nima recognizes the handwriting as her own, older and less certain. They seek the Hourglass Covenant, carrying a warning neither has yet written.

Vey
Windguide → Crown of the Open Sky
Stormwing → Tempest Talon

Nima
Chartweaver → Sage of the Endless Atlas
Stormdancer → Galecrest Ascendant
At the table: Movement, precise Challenges and card selection reward careful route planning.
Choose your Companion →VeilbornA Door With Two Shadows
The Veilborn live beside the roads the Atlas chooses to forget. Nyxara guards their thresholds; Morrow follows the echoes of those who crossed and never returned. The lost infirmary has appeared on the wrong side of a gate, and its lanterns are drawing something toward the waking world.
Morrow finds two sets of his own tracks beside the infirmary. One leads back to Nyxara. The other ends at a new stone monument bearing his name. Nyxara must choose whether to seal the passage or let him learn which journey made it.

Nyxara
Gate Sovereign → Empress of the Last Threshold
Curse Oracle → Crown of the Unspoken Hex

Morrow
Riftstalker → Dreadclaw of the Veil
Echo Pilgrim → Sovereign of Lost Echoes
At the table: Use the temporary Netherway, displacement and curses to unsettle opposing plans.
Choose your Companion →IronmawWhat Strength Is For
The Ironmaw know that a blocked road can become a battlefield—or a place to stand together. Rauk grows from an unarmored pathbreaker into a charger or protector. Skara's strength takes another shape with every journey: more powerful limbs, a deadlier bite, and eventually a silhouette the canyon has never seen.
Rauk reaches the lost road before the expedition and discovers a wounded machine holding its gate. Breaking through would be easy; leaving it behind would be easier still. Skara circles overhead for the first time as Rauk lowers his tusks to lift the fallen gate instead.

Rauk
Siegebreaker → Worldbreaker Rauk
Pack Bastion → Ironcrown Behemoth

Skara
Eightfold Ravager → Eightfold Cataclysm
Fang Sovereign → Dreadfang Empress
At the table: Pressure defenders with Force, Challenge chains and rewards for qualifying defeats.
Choose your Companion →Hourglass CovenantThe Hour Not Yet Spent
The Covenant measures roads in moments as well as miles. Orryx carries an unfinished hour; Saela keeps maps of tomorrows that may never arrive. Both have seen the infirmary restored. Neither has seen the same travelers return from it.
The Skyrunners' message arrives three days before its ink dries. Orryx asks for time to prepare a safe crossing. Saela sees the cost of waiting and marks a second route. Their argument will be settled by the choices of companions who have never studied a clock.

Orryx, the Unfinished
Meridian Keeper → Warden of the Undying Sun
Age of Ruin → The Last Epoch

Saela, Keeper of Tomorrows
Tomorrow Cartographer → Architect of Unwritten Horizons
Brass Judicator → Judgment at the End of Time
At the table: Foretell delayed effects publicly, plan ahead and exploit the timing of their resolution.
Choose your Companion →RevelwildAn Invitation Without a Name
When the Atlas falls silent, the Revelwild bring a procession. Zazri's masks hold a thousand stories; Pippa's lantern heart keeps their rhythm alive. They have come to perform at an infirmary that no longer exists, honoring an invitation signed by someone the others have forgotten.
Pippa hears applause from the empty road. Zazri recognizes the rhythm but refuses to say whose hands once made it. The procession follows the sound, carrying enough lanterns for the audience they hope to find—and for the travelers who need a way home.

Zazri, the Grand Misrule
Crown of Revels → Sovereign of the Endless Revel
Masquerade Tyrant → The Thousandmask Dread

Pippa, Lanternheart
Lantern Maestra → Matriarch of a Thousand Lanterns
Riotheart → Inferno of the Grand Procession
At the table: Sequence Challenges and Encore effects to turn one action into an opening for the next.
Choose your Companion →PrismforgeA Foundation That Remembers
The Prismforge believe every broken crossing can be remade. Vitra gives living glass its purpose; Keldrax carries a citadel wherever there is no foundation left. The missing road resists every structure they raise, as though the Atlas remembers something their designs have overlooked.
Vitra builds a bridge whose far end keeps returning to its beginning. Keldrax plants his feet and holds it steady while the others cross. Beneath the glass, a buried signal starts to answer—not in words, but in the measured pulses of the Vigilant Array.

Vitra, the Shaping Heart
Spire Architect → Architect of the Prismatic Crown
Shard Empress → Empress of the Shardstorm

Keldrax, Walking Citadel
Citadel Walker → The Adamant Citadel
Relay Titan → Heart of the Infinite Relay
At the table: Constructs hold Routes and support exploration; protect them while opponents seek ways to dismantle them.
Choose your Companion →Vigilant ArrayThe First Unwritten Directive
In the Atlas's abandoned concrete districts, the machines never received an order to stop guarding the gates. Aegrix still stands at the last one. Syntra has begun asking who those gates were meant to protect. The arrival of living travelers gives the question an answer neither protocol anticipated.
Aegrix recognizes the lantern carried by the Hearthbound, though its archive lists the infirmary as lost. Syntra discovers that the record was not a report but an instruction. Together they face a choice their makers left unwritten: obey the archive, or protect what stands before them.

Aegrix, Keeper of the Last Gate
Bastion → Aegrix, the Unyielding Gate
Reprisal → Aegrix, Engine of Retribution

Syntra, the Questioning Signal
Oracle → Syntra, the Awakened Oracle
Pursuit → Syntra, the Inescapable Signal
At the table: Retain Charge in Reserve and choose when to answer with a legal Reaction.
Choose your Companion →ElderwakeBefore There Were Roads
Long before the roads were drawn, the Elderwake moved beneath them. Tharuun feels their foundations shifting; Nhalora remembers the coast before the lanterns had names. The forgotten road has disturbed something older than the Atlas's maps, and the ancient companions are finally waking to meet it.
Nhalora hears the lost procession beneath the tide. Tharuun lifts a shore that has slept for centuries, revealing the first stones of the missing road. The nine expeditions arrive together. Restoring the crossing will take more than any one faction brought.

Tharuun, the Buried Dawn
Worldwarden → Tharuun, the Living Continent
Riftbreaker → Tharuun, Fist of the First Dawn

Nhalora, the Deep Remembering
Tidekeeper → Nhalora, Sovereign of the Sheltering Deep
Starcurrent → Nhalora, Wings of the Starsea
At the table: Commit to an Awakening, protect the preparation and resolve its effect on a later turn.
